HOPI has been installing photovoltaic systems on warehouse rooftops as part of its energy efficiency programme, co-financed through EU's Next Generation EU funds. The installations generate electricity for own consumption — powering lighting, cooling systems, and material handling equipment — while reducing dependence on grid electricity. Combined with LED conversions and building insulation upgrades, the photovoltaic programme is a key contributor to the 13 % CO₂ reduction achieved across the Czech warehouse portfolio since 2021.
